Are you looking for a new combination boiler? You don’t need us to tell you to spend your money wisely - nevertheless, here’s our handy guide on choosing the best combi boiler.
The problem is which boiler? There are so many stories about which boilers are the best to buy – who do you believe?
If you buy the wrong combi boiler, you may as well tape a shoe box to the wall and fill it with the money that you will spend on boiler repairs.
Firstly, AHP Boiler Services have been in the central heating and boiler profession for 20 years, so some would say we know our onions. The boilers we recommend (and install) are some of the best in the market. These boilers are renowned for offering easy installation, are very easy to obtain spare parts and accessories for and are easy to use.
You definitely do not want to install a boiler and then find out two years later that you're calling out a gas-safe engineer every few months to repair it. As well as time consuming, it’s very annoying, distressing and costly on your pocket, especially if you’re a Landlord or someone that depends on reliability in cold weather. Frankly, it’s a pain in the backside you really don’t need.
What are the main key points you should consider when choosing a new boiler?
- Boiler manufacturer must have proven, outstanding after-care service
- Look for a minimum of five years guarantee from the boiler manufacturer
- Boiler should be attractive and robust
- Boiler should perform very well with both hot water and central heating
- Boiler performance should not drop off after just 18 months (check via online reviews)
- Parts and accessories should be very easy to obtain and be moderately priced
- Does the boiler manufacturer offer a wide range of add-ons to your installation, to enhance the use of the boiler and to address potential problems? i.e.
○ Different flue arrangements
○ Different control packages
- Does the manufacturer offer different boiler sizes and models to suit installation and heating requirements?
Please understand that our opinion on which boilers we consider to be the best, is backed-up by 20 years of experience, expertise and the amount of call-backs we’ve had for installations.
If you have any questions, would like to be consulted on the best way forward for your situation or require boiler supply and installation costs, don't hesitate to get in touch - we can advise you and install your system, problem and hassle free.
