Underfloor Heating Manifold
This is where all the underfloor heating distribution to rooms takes place
Get Your Underfloor Heating Working with these 5 Tips:
Underfloor Heating Problem 1: Thermostats
Is the room thermostat on and calling for heat? Make sure it’s set above the current room temperature. Make sure the flame is showing a call for heat.
If not, this could be the problem.
Underfloor heating Problem 2: Flow Valves
Are the flow valves on the Manifold (illustrated in the manifold diagram above) showing flow movement? Are the red stoppers twitching up and down due to water movement?
If not, this could mean mechanical failure. Don't worry though, this can be easily rectified by our qualified engineers..
Underfloor Heating Problem 3: Actuator Flow
Are the actuators (illustrated in the manifold diagram above) allowing the central heating water to flow around the underfloor piping? If you can see the the blue round top lifting up or it is up like in this picture its open and the water should be flowing through.
If not, there’s a possible problem with this. You can temporarily remove this actuator head so you can get it working until the engineer gets there.
Underfloor Heating Problem 4: Pump is Running
Make sure the water pump is running by touching to feel if it’s oscillating.
If no, this could mean mechanical failure. And you will need to call an engineer to repair.
Underfloor Heating Problem 5: Trapped Air
Finally, check that there is no air in the under floor heating circuit by bleeding the air out. Check the manifold, there will be an air bleed valve for you to use (as illustrated in the manifold diagram above)
